Cabin Rentals in Hochatown, OK

Hochatown is the small Oklahoma community that has quietly become one of the more interesting food, wine, and entertainment districts in the South — without losing the deep-forest character that makes Broken Bow worth the drive in the first place. Sababa Homes operates five cabins in and around Hochatown, all within minutes of the strip's restaurants, the brewery, the wineries, and the entrance to Beavers Bend State Park.

About Hochatown

What you should know

A decade ago Hochatown was barely a name on a map. Today it is a legitimate destination — Grateful Head Pizza for the casual night, Abendigo's Grill & Patio for the slightly more elevated dinner, Beavers Bend Brewery for the after-hike pint, and Mountain Fork Brewery and Girls Gone Wine for tasting flights. Hochatown State Park, which technically incorporates parts of the broader Beavers Bend area, anchors the outdoor side of the visit. What makes Hochatown work is that the build-up has stayed proportional: the strip is busy on weekends but never feels resort-manufactured, and you can be in genuine forest within five minutes of any restaurant. That balance — real food and wine, real wilderness, no theme-park gloss — is the reason the area now draws guests from Dallas, Tulsa, and Oklahoma City who would have otherwise gone elsewhere.

Things to do

How to spend your time

01

Dinner at Abendigo's Grill & Patio

The most reliably excellent sit-down dinner in Hochatown. Outdoor patio, strong steaks and seafood. Reservations recommended on weekends.

02

Pizza night at Grateful Head Pizza

Live music, casual atmosphere, the post-hike or post-lake meal of choice. Family-friendly and group-friendly in equal measure.

03

Tasting flight at Beavers Bend Brewery

Local brewery with a rotating tap list and food. The default afternoon stop after a morning at the park.

04

Wine tasting at Girls Gone Wine

A long-running Hochatown tasting room with sweet and dry options and a good patio. Easy add to a date-night itinerary.

05

Beavers Bend State Park

The wilderness anchor of the area — hiking, paddling, the Mountain Fork River, and the Forest Heritage Center are all five minutes from Hochatown's main strip.
