Lake View Cabins in Blue Ridge

Blue Ridge Lake is an 11,000-acre reservoir with 65 miles of shoreline — a central feature of the area and a short drive from our properties. Our Blue Ridge cabins are positioned in the mountains above the lake corridor, offering the best of both worlds: elevated mountain views and easy access to the lake for kayaking, fishing, and waterfront dining.

Blue Ridge Lake is the town's social center in summer. Pontoon and kayak rentals out of Lake Blue Ridge Marina near Morganton, fishing charters, and waterfront dining at the Toccoa River arm make it a key activity anchor for any Blue Ridge trip. The lake sits at the southern edge of the Chattahoochee National Forest, so the upper arms stay forested right to the waterline rather than ringed with development. Our properties put you 15 to 20 minutes from the marina along Aska Road and Old Highway 76, close enough to make a morning on the water effortless and be back at the cabin by lunch. Walleye, bass, and crappie fishing are productive year-round, and an anchored pontoon in a quiet cove is the activity guests most often say they wish they had booked sooner.

Common questions

Lake View Cabins FAQ

How close are the properties to the lake?

Blue Ridge Lake is 15 to 20 minutes from our Blue Ridge properties via Aska Road and the marina at Morganton. Broken Bow Lake is within a similar drive from our Broken Bow cabins through the Hochatown corridor. Neither market is a lakefront property, but lake access is easy and the drive is scenic.

Are there water activities available?

Both markets have extensive lake activity options. Blue Ridge Lake offers kayaking, pontoon rentals, fishing charters, and paddleboarding out of Lake Blue Ridge Marina. Broken Bow Lake has bass fishing, pontoon and kayak rentals, and guided tours from the Beavers Bend marina. Your hosts can provide current vendor recommendations.

Which season is best for a lake-focused cabin trip?

Late spring through early fall is prime lake season in both markets. The water warms enough for swimming from June through September, and pontoon and kayak rentals run daily. Fall adds foliage along the shoreline and cooler, calmer mornings. Even in the off-season the lakes are worth the short drive for scenery, shoreline walks, and cold-water fishing.
